An Ordinance to amend an Ordinance regulating the currency, passed March fourth A D 1843.
[Be it or]dained by the City Council of [the city of] , that nothing in the ord[inance] regulating the currency shall be so construed as to prevent the receiving of City Scrip or Treasury Orders for taxes or city dues.
