Notation in unidentified handwriting.
Notation in handwriting of William Clayton.
There is no transaction recorded in the Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger for an order to Jesse Harmon for $1.10 dated 5 March 1844. There are two entries for Harmon recorded 19 February 1845, one for an order dated 5 March 1844 for $3.70 and the other for an order dated 5 August 1844 for $1.00. There is an extant pay order for Harmon for $3.70 dated 5 March 1844; possibly this pay order corresponds to the entry for $1.00 recorded on the same day. (Nauvoo City Treasury Ledger, 25; Pay Order, William Clayton to Nauvoo City Collector for Jesse Harmon, 5 Mar. 1844–B.)
Notation probably in handwriting of Jonathan H. Hale.
