lives 4 miles East of says he Is informd by Wm Botts that the Co— under command of Col— Williams on the 27of June Recd the s orders (at or near the Rail road on the way to ) to return home and Col— Williams then Commenced beating up for volunteers to go on to and tear down the jail & kill the prisoners supposed to be about 100 that vollunteerd they started for forthwith and the ballance returnd home
