19 Mar. 1801–20 Apr. 1883. Born in Fort Ann, Washington Co., New York. Son of James Clements and Lucy Owen. Married Adah Winchell, 28 Jan. 1822, at Fort Ann. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1832. Participated in Zion’s Camp expedition to Missouri, 1834. Living in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, by 7 Feb. 1842. Defendant in City of Nauvoo v. Clements and N. Tanner and City of Nauvoo v. Clements, A. Tanner, and H. Tanner, Dec. 1842, in Nauvoo. Baptized into Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 28 Feb. 1861. Remarried Adah Winchell Clements, 1872, in Salt Lake City. Died in Springville, Utah Co., Utah.
