Nauvoo Music Hall
Summary
The Nauvoo Music Hall was proposed in January 1843. In February, William Clayton, Stephen H. Goddard, and William Cahoon were appointed trustees to oversee construction of the building. The trustees sold shares of stock to help pay for the construction costs. The hall was completed in January 1845, and the Saints used it to hold lectures and concerts.
