Ogn [original] of Bond—
“Know all men by these presents that we Joseph Smith are held and firmly bound unto the people of the State of for the use of Nelson Lawrence Julia Lawrence and Margaret Lawrence minors in the penal sum of seven thousand seven hundred and fifty[-nine] 06/100 dollars for payment of which well & truely to be made we bind ourselves our heirs Executors or administrators jointly severally and firmly by these presents— Witness our hands and Seals at this 4th day of June A.D. 1841.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Joseph Smith who has been appointed Guardian for , , , Nelson Lawrence Julia Lawrence <and> Margaret Lawrence shall faithfully discharge the office & trust of such Guardian according to law & shall render a fair & Just account of his said Guardianship to the Court of Probate for the County of from time to time as he shall be thereto required by the said Court & comply with all the orders of said Court lawfully made relation to the goods Chattles & moneys of said minors & render & pay to such minors all moneys goods & chattles title papers and effects which may come to the hands or possession of such Guardian belonging to such minors when Such minors shall be thereto entitled or to any Subsequent Guardian should the Court so direct then the above obligation to be Void otherwise to remain in full force & virtue —
