This Indenture, made this fourth day of February, in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight hundred and Forty three, between , of the County of and State of , of the first part, and Joseph Smith, Sole Trustee in Trust for the of the said County of and State of . Witnesseth, that the said , for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven Hundred Dollars, lawful money of the , to him in hand, well and truly paid by the said Joseph Smith, Sole Trustee in trust for the Church aforesaid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold, and by their presents does grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the said Joseph Smith, Sole Trustee in trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, his Successors in office And assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the and aforesaid, known and designated as Lots Numbered (1) one [p.
