Resolved— That be appointed a member of the High Council of the Church of Jesus Christ, of Illinois, to fill the vacancy occasioned by <the death of>
A charge was prefered against by Joseph Smith jr predicated upon the authority of two letters, one of the letters from , the other from and , accusing him () with the following charges, to wit;
1st For stating that Joseph Smith jr had extravagantly purchased three suits of cloths while he was at and that had purchased four suits at the same place I besides dresses and cloths for their families in profusion. [p. 17]
