and assigns forever, provided always that these present are upon these express condition, that if the said Joseph Smith, his heirs or assigns executors or administrators shall pay or cause to be paid to the sd. his heirs executors administrators or assigns the sum of fifteen hundred dollars to wit: three hundred and seventy on demand; Three hundred and seventy six 66/100 dollars in twelve months, three hundred and seventy six 66/100 in two years; and three hundred and seventy six 68/100 dollars in three years from date, together with the interests that may accrue thereon in manner specified in four three notes, bearing even date herewith, executed by the said Joseph Smith to amounting, besides the payment on demand, to Eleven hundred and thirty dollars; then & from thence forth these presents, & every thing herein contained shall cease & be void, any thing to the contrary herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding. In witness my hand and seal.
