feet thence east sixty five feet to the place of beginning Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appurtaining, To Have and to Hold the above described premises unto the said Isaac Ashton his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Elias Eagle his heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises, unto the said Isaac Ashton his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Testimony Whereof, the said Elias Eagle of the first part, has hereunto set his hand and seal, the day and year above written. Elias Eagles L. S signed, sealed and delivered in presence of . State of Illinois City of Hancock County SS. I a justice of the Peace, of said do, certify, that Elias Eagle whose signature appears to the foregoing deed, and who is personally known to me to be the person described in, and who executed the same did acknowledge that he had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. Know all men by these presents— that I of the Town of Hancock County Illinois st. am firmly held & Bound unto R. M. Jolley in a Mortgage on my Brick house situated in the Town of . on Town Lot viz Block 43 & Lot 4 for sixty five dollars which I am due him by the Eighteenth of August next if this Payment well & truly shall be made by the time aforesaid then this Mortgage shall Remain null & void otherwise in full force & virtue & furthermore I Bind myself to give Possession to the said R. M. Jolley. & forfeit all, claim to the above discribed Building within one weeks notice Provided I should fail to make Payment. [p. 185]
