same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said . This Indenture made and entered into this first day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and forty two, between of the County of and State of of the first part, and of the & aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained, sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part & to his heirs and assigns forever, all those peices or parcels of land lying & being in the county of and aforesaid, and described as follows (to wit) The West half, of the North half, of the South West quarter of Section Thirty one in Township seven North & Range Eight West of the fourth principal meridian, except ten acres across the East end of said lot or tract, of even width containing forty & one fourth acres, more or less, also certain lots in Robinsons addition to being known and described as follows (to wit,) Lots one, two, & three, in Block No one, Lots no, one, two, three & four, in Block no. two, Lots, one, two, in Block three, Lots one, two three, in Block four, Lots one, three & four in Block Five, & the whole of Block six, Lot two in Block Eight, Lots two, three & four, in Block Nine, Lots one, two, three and four in Block Twelve.
To have and to hold the aforesaid premises, together with all and singular the appurtenances, rights & privileges thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, and the said & Athalia [Rigdon Robinson] his wife, the aforesaid premises unto the [said] his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant & forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said party of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and date first above written.
