I a Justice of the peace in & for the City of County & state aforesaid, do certify that and his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, & who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, & who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses & purposes therein mentioned. And the said having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, & examined seperate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, & without compulsion of her said .
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand, & affixed my Notarial seal, at the City of this first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four.

This Indenture made and entered into this fourteenth day of october in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty four between and his wife, of the County of and State of , of the one part, and Eliza Chandler of the town of howell and State of of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said & his wife, for & in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey & confirm unto the said Eliza Chandler her heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the State of viz: the North half of Lot No one (1) in Block No thirteen (13) in s second addition to .
