to Elias Hutchings Pt L. 1. B. 17. ad
This Indenture made and entered into this Ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four, between and his wife, of the county of and State of , of the one part, and Elias Hutchings of the county of and aforesaid, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said & his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do herby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Elias Hutchings his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the county of in the State of viz: The same being in lot one in Block Seventeen in addition to , commencing at the South east corner of said lot, thence North about thirty two feet, to a stake standing on a parrallel line with the North side of a brick house, now standing on said lot, thence West on said line six Rods, thence South about thirty two feet, to the South line of said lot, thence East on said line to the place of beginning.
Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Elias Hutchings his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and his wife, their heirs & assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said Elias Hutchings his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all & every person whomsoever, do & will warrant & forever defend by these presents.
In testimony whereof, the said & his wife, of the first part, have hereunto set our hands and seals, the day and year above written.

I a Justice of the Peace in and for the city of , county and state aforesaid, do certify that & his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledged that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.And the said having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said deed, and examined seperate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed voluntarily, freely and without compulsion of her said .
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, at the city of , this 9th. day of Novr. in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty four.
