W[illiam] Higginbotham to A[lexander] Hunt Lot 2B 71
This indenture made and entered into this nineteeth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and and forty five between Wm E Higginbotham and Louisa [Higginbotham] his wife of the county of and state of of the one part and Alexander Hunt of the and aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the Wm. E Higginbotham and Louisa his wife for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm, unto the said Alexander Hunt his heirs and assigns forever all that part or parcel of Land situate Lying and being in the the county of and state of viz: being a part of Lot No two in Block no seventy one in the city of beginning at the northeast corner of said Lot and thence south forty feet, thence west forty feet, thence north forty feet, thence east forty feet to the place of beginning Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. To have and hold the above described premises unto the said Alexander Hunt his heirs and assigns forever. And the said William E Higginbotham and Louisa his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said Alexander Hunt his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsover do and will warrant and forever by these presents defend.
In testimony whereof the said William E Higginbotham and Louisa his wife of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

I notary public for said in said do certify that Wm E Higginbotham and Louisa his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Louisa Higginbotham having been by me first made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed and examined separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged the she had executed the same and relinquished her dower to the premises therein convey voluntarily freely and without compulsion of her said Husband. In Tistimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of office at this 19 day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five
