This Indenture made and entered into this twenty third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five between and Sarah [Leeka] his wife of the county of and state of of the one part and of the county of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said and Sarah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars, to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever all that part or parcel of Land situate and being in the county of in the state of viz:— a fractional Lot in the city of on the southwest corner of lot seventy one in ’s addition to bounded west on Fullmer’s land, northe by Mulholland Street east by James street and south by land formerly belonging to McNall be the same more or less. Together with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Sarah his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof the said and Sarah his wife of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

I a justice of the peace in and for said do certify that and Sarah his wife whose signatures appear to the forgoing Deed and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Sarah Leeka having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed and examined separate and apart from her said acknowledged that she had execute the same and relinquishd her dower to the premises therein conveyed volunteer <voluntarily> freely and without compulsion of her said . In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23d day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five.
