In testimony whereof, the said , and Mary A. his wife of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

I Notary Public, in and for the City of , County and State aforesaid, do certify that and Mary A. his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Mary A. Young having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said .

Know all men by these presents that we and Julia [Ives] Pack of the County of and State of , have this day for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars in hand paid by George Richie of the County of and State of Bargained and sold unto the said George Richie a certain Peice of land lying and situated in s Addition to the town of in said and above mentioned, as will more fully appear by refference to the Plat of said Addition being Part of Lot fifty one in Block four in said Addition to the Town of and des-cribed as follows, Beginning at the South West corner of Lot No 51 in Block 4 of said Addition, thence East along the South line of said lot ten Rods, to the South West corner of Mary Ann [Angell] Youngs piece of land, thence North sixteen Rods, thence West to the West line of lot No 51, thence South along the West line of said lot, to the place of beginning be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above described piece of land with and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said George Richie his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Julia Pack, for themselves, their heirs and assigns, administrators and executors do Warrant and forever defend the title of the lot or piece of land against every person or persons claiming by, through or under them in any manner. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three.—
