An ordinance concerning spiritious liquors and for other purposes.
Sec 1 Be it ordained by the city council of the city of , that before any person <​shall​> sell, or dispose of any spiritous or intoxication drink by a less quantity than one gallon in the , he or they shall first obtain a license from the Mayor’s Court, for which shall be paid down for the use of the , not less than two hundred nor more than four hundred dollars, (and issuing fees) for one year.
Sec 2 And Be it further ordained that if any person shall sell or give away <​dispose of​> to be drank in this , <​in less quantity than one gallon​> any spiritous or intoxicating drink or liquors, without first obtaining such license they shall pay a fine in proportion to the amount of license money which would have been assessed upon the regular license, to be <​of not less than <​twenty five​> two hundred and not not more than four hundred dollars to be​> tried before the Mayor.
Sec 2 3 And be it further ordained that all ordinances or parts of ordinances or private grants repugnant to the intent and meaning of this ordinance are hereby repealed. [p. [1]]
