Meet Which was readily responded to By meeting on the parade Ground— 25th <20th> still attending the Duties of Cityzens in prepareing to assist in Keeping the peace had a gaurd of thirty me[n] detailed to stand untill discharged. 21st. on duty 6 oclock. P.M. Signal Given and a Call for thirty men for the service of the Sheriff which was responded to 22nd. still on duty 23rd also 24th. also 25th. Conl. and men with teams sent to to Bring in all that wished to Come 26th. engaged in the same buiseness 27th. there was a Call made for thirty men to go to as a posse which was raised and proceeded to 28th. Met at 5 Oclock and detailed thirty men as gaurd sent two to on horses 28th. 9¼ Oclock. A.M. recd. the following order in the words— following Viz Sept 28th., 1845, you are herby Notifyed to Commanded To have the Teams of your regt the Parade Ground on which your regt done service Last night ready to start by 9 oclock this morning for any point to which they may be ordered Brigr. Genl. Sec 1/2 past 11 oclock. A.M. Recd. orders to have all the teams of the regt. on parade By 7. O.clock on the Morrow morning 29th. 8 Oclock A.M. in consequence of the storm no teams met. therfore the order of the day was changed to obtaining of teams and hands for Sundry Buisiness. 12. O.clock. M. recd. orders to have all the teams of the regt. on Parade at .7. O.clock 30th. Sept. 30th. on the ground to attend to the teams and men Oct. 1st attending to Buiseness about town also Police Duty 2nd in Simelar Buiseness Govt. troops Left for 3rd. worke for Brt— and attended Police [p.
