Whereas complaint has been made before me Joseph Smith, Mayor of the city of , by agai[n]st for Selling Ardent Spirits by the Small quantity on or about the first day of Dcember inst and at various other times prior to said 1st of Dcember.
Therefore in the name of the people of the state of & of City
Greeting, We command the <or any constable> of said that the body of be had before us <me> Joseph Smith Mayor of said at my in said on Friday the 2d day of December inst. at 10 oclock A. M. then & there to answer to the violation of the ordinances of said acording to the foreg[o]ing complaint,— hereoff <herein> fail not. & bring this writ with you. & your doings therein.
