Biography
8 Aug. 1801–1 Aug. 1847. Born in La Prairie, Lower Canada. Son of Experience Davis and Rhoda Darrow. Married Roxana Davis, 16 Jan. 1831, in Geauga Co., Ohio. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Requested by JS to relinquish claim to land near Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, 15 Mar. 1844. Sold JS his interest in the property near Nauvoo, 16 Mar. 1844. Accompanied JS to Carthage, Hancock Co., 24 June 1844. Ordained a seventy, by Aug. 1844.
