This Indenture made this 5h. day of June AD 1852 between Milton M Morrill of of Illinois as Special Commissioner appointed by a Decree of the Hancock Circuit Court on the side thereof. Wherein is Complainant and , , , , , , , , Lewis C Bidaman [Bidamon] , Elisha Dixon, & , and also Administrator of the Estate of Joseph Smith deceased are defendants at the March Term thereof AD 1852, of the first part and George Edmunds Jr. of Illinois of the second part. Witnesseth, that whereas at the March Term of the Hancock Circuit Court AD 1852 On the Chancery side thereof in a suit wherein the above named was and the above named defendants were defendants, a Decree was duly entered, directing the sale of the premises hereinafter described for the payment of the sum of Four Thousand nine hundred and Eighty three dollars and sixty nine cents, and interest thereon after the 12th. day of March A.D. 1852. together with the costs of said suit. And found due to the said , and which was found to be a lien in equity upon said premises hereinafter described. And by which said decree the undersigned was duly appointed to make said sale, unless within ten days from the entry of said decree said sum of money should be paid by said defendants to the said and directing me to make deed to the purchaser. And the <said> defendants having failed to make such payment to the said , and I having given due notice as required by said decree of the time, place and Terms of sale, and property to be sold did on this 5h day of June AD 1852. at the door of the in Hancock County Illinois proceed to sell the premises on said decree, and hereinafter described at public to the highest bidder for the same, pursuant to said decree between the hours of 10 Oclock AM. and 4 o’clock P.M. of that day, at which sale the said sale, the said George Edmunds Jr bid for said premises as follows separately To wit:
For the North East qr of Sec. No 8. T 6 N. R 8 W. $690.00 For the west half of the Northwest qr of Sec No 5. T 4 N. R 8 W $374.25. For the <north> East half <half of the North East> qr of Sec. No. 6. T 4 N R 8 W. $165.12. For the East half of the South East qr of Sec No 31. T 5. N. R 8 W. $160.00.

And said Edmunds being the highest and best bidder for each and every of said Lots Lands & Premises, I St[r]uck off & sold the same to him for the sums aforesaid. And the said Edmunds having paid to me the said purchase money for Each of said premises, Amounting together to the sum of $3029.27, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged— Now I the said Milton M Morrill Special Commissioner as aforesaid pursuant to and by virtue of the power in me vested by said Decree I do hereby Grant Bargain, sell convey and Confirm unto the said George Edmunds Jr. his heirs and assigns all the premises aforesaid situate in the County of in the State of . To Have and To Hold the same unto the said George Edmunds Jr. his heirs and assigns forever— with the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid for the purpose of Conveying said premises as freely as by said decree I am authorized to do and of right ought to do.
