On the the 7th day August 1841 Brigadier General Died beloved and lamented by all his numerous friends both as a citizen and a militiary Commander. & was buried in the honors of war
On the 4 day of Sept 1841 Colonel was elected Brigadier General of the Second Cohort to fill the vacancy of Genl Decd. and Lieutenant Colonel was elected Colonel in the place of promoted and Major
The <official return of the> now showed the aggregate to be 1490 men
on the 2nd day of April 1842 the fourth Regiment Second Cohort was organized and was elected Colonel and Lieut Col and Major of the same it consisted of 4 companies
Sometime in the month of June 1842 Major General was Cashiered by a court martial detailed by the Lieutenant General Joseph Smith who approved the decision of said Court Martial
On the 3 day of August 1842 Brigadier General was elected Major General of the Nauvoo Legion to fill the vacancy of Major Genl cashiered.
