This indenture made and entered into this sixth day of November in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four between and his wife of the county of and state of , of the one part, and , of the county of and aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said and his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars, to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said his heirs and assigns forever, all that part or parcel of land situate and b[e]ing in the county of in the state of , viz: Beginning at a point fifty two and a half feet west of the northeast corner of lot Number two in Block number twenty four, in ’s addition to thence west along the north line of said lot seventy two feet and nine inches, thence south one hundred and eighty one feet and six inches, thence east one hundred and twenty five feet and three inches, or to the east line of said lot thence north ninety one feet and six inches, thence west fifty three feet and six inches, thence north ninety feet to the beginning: Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertainig. To have and to Hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and his wife, their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.

I a justice of the peace in and for said do certify that and his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed & who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein menentioned. And the said having been by me made acquainted with the contents of said Deed & Examined separate and apart from her said acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed voluntarily freely & without compulsion of her said .
