This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four, between and his wife of the county of and state of of the one part and Thomas S Edwards <Jr> of the and aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said and his wife for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Thomas S Edwards Junr. his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land scituate and being in the county of and aforsaid viz: lying in ’s addition to the city of in Lot No seventy two in Block No two, beginning at the South west corner of said Lot thence east on young street forty five (45) feet, thence north across said lot thence west forty five feet thence south to the place of beginning more or less with all and singular the hereditament and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Thomas S Edwards Junr. his heirs and assigns forever. And the said and his wife, the aforesaid premises unto the aforesaid Thomas S Edwards Junr. his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
