In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of office at Nauvoo this 22nd day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five.

This Indenture made and entered into This fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between & Mary his wife of the county of and state of of the one part and Irea Lincoln of the county of and aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant, bargain, sell convey and confirm unto the said Irea Lincoln his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the county of in the State of Viz:— Commencing twenty six rods north of the South West corner of Lot twenty five in Block six thence North six rods or to Parley Street more or less thence East six rods thence south six rods on to Mary’s corner more or less thenc West six rods to the place of beginning—
Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in anywise appertaining To Have and to Hold the above described premises unto the said Irea Lincoln his heirs and assigns forever And the said and Mary his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said Irea Lincoln his heirs and assigns against the Claim or Claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents defend. In testimony whereof the said and Mary his wife of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written

I justice of the peace of said do certify that and Mary his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed are <& who are> personally known to me to be the persons described in and who executed the same did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance for the uses and purposes therein mentioned And the said Mary Woolsey having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the Said Deed and examined Separate and apart from her said acknowledged that she had executed the same and reliquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily freely and without compulsion of her — Given under my hand and Seal this fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three
