within 20 days from the passage of this act to give bonds <​with sufficent security​> to the amt $5,000 dollars to the <​Genl​> Court Martial of the Nauvoo Legion for the due performance of his duty it shall also be his duty to recieve all mony belonging to the N. Legion according to the provisions of this act which shall only be paid out by upon the certificate of the Majrr Genl approved by the Lt Genl or by an act of the Genl Court Martial to attend all Genl Court Mar[t]ial and lay before them an account of the finances of the Legion, stating particularly all monies recd & paid out, with his several proceedings relative to the duties of his office & all accounts so exhibited & setled by the Court Martial, shall be entered by the secreta[r]y on his, book order books: & to do & perform such other services as may from in any wise appertain to the office of Pay Master General
It shall be the duty of the Chief Mucisian to cause the roll to be called of the band under his inspection on <​each day which they are required to parade​> and make returns of all delinquents to the Legion Court of assessment <​and do & perform all duties that in any wise pertain to his office​>
Brig Genl Staff
It shall be the duty of the Brigade major to attend all regimental musters composing their respective Brigades to inspect the arms & equipments of all officers & privates at every such muster also to record all orders recieved or issued by the Brig Genl, also all returns & rank rolls recieved anually from the several Regt. composing their respective <​Cohorts​> brigades in a genl order book kept for that purpose to consolidate the anual returns & rank rolls received from from the several officers commanding regts in their Cohorts or brigades, into a brigade return <​to attend all Elections ordered by the B G as Clerk and make returns to the General Inspector​> agreeably to the the requirements of the
