The next the duties of Staff officers
Lieut Genl Staff
It shall be the duty of the Inspector Genl to inspector the when called upon by the Liet General and do & perform all other duties that in any wise appertain to the office of Inspector General
It shall be the duty of the drill officer to take command of the Lt, Genl Guard at all times when they are called by his order and note & return all delinquents belonging to under his command according to the pro[v]isions of this act
Staff of Majr Genl
It shall be the duty of the <Adjt Genl or> Division inspector to act as assistant adjutant General, to distribute all orders from the commandants of divisi Maj Genl or Adjt Genl attend all reviews with the Maj Genl; to record all orders recieved or issued by the M Genl, all return & rank rolls recd anually, from the several Cohorts or Brigades also to make out division returns when required by the M. G or any superior officer <to act as clerk at all elections for Brig Genl and keep said ordered by the M. G.> and to perform such other duties as may appertain to their his office <to form the Legion & call the roll>
It shall be the duty of the Q M G to apply for & recieve all arms that are or may become due to the Legion from the , to deposite all arms so recd or which may have heretofore been recd & not otherwise disposed of in some safe place at the also to employ means to preserve all such arms from damage as in his opinion may from time to time become necessary to furnish when required so to do by his superior officer a full exhibit of all arms in his posession belonging to the also to do & perform all othrs that may in any wise appertain to the office of Quarter Master General [p.
