The people of the State of to any Constable of of said Greeting—:
Whereas complaint hath been made before me one of the Justices of the Peace within & for the County of aforesaid upon the oath of Josiah Simpson of the City of & of the & aforesaid that one Stephen Goddard and one & one William Riely [Riley] late of the & aforesaid, did unlawfully assault & beat him the said Josiah Simpson of the County of aforesaid— These are therefore to command you forthwith to apprehend the said Stephen Goddard. & William Riley & bring them before me or some other Justice of the the peace to answer the premises and further be dealt with according to law
Given under my hand & Seal at the aforesaid this 3d day of Feby AD. 1843—
