Allred, William Moore
Biography
24 Dec. 1819–8 Jan. 1901. Carpenter. Born in Bedford Co., Tennessee. Son of Isaac Allred and Mary Calvert. Moved to Missouri, ca. 1829. Baptized into Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10 Sept. 1832. Moved to Clay Co., Missouri, 1835; to Caldwell Co., Missouri, 1836; to Adams Co., Illinois, spring 1839; to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, ca. 1840; and to Pleasant Vale, Pike Co., Illinois. Served as bishop of Pleasant Vale stake. Instructed in JS revelation to buy and sell stock for Nauvoo House and assist in its construction, 20 Mar. 1841. Married Orissa Angelia Bates, 9 Jan. 1842, in Nauvoo. Appointed captain of rifle company in Nauvoo Legion, 12 Mar. 1842. Moved to Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, by 1850. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley; arrived, fall 1851. Moved to Grantsville, Tooele Co., Utah Territory, by 1860. Moved to St. Charles, Bear Lake Co., Idaho Territory, by 1870. Moved to Fairview, Uinta Co. (later in Lincoln Co.), Wyoming, by 1900. Died in Fairview.
