, & purchased provisions of Height in , and gave a Joint note, which was transfered to some person or persons in — after which they <​​> went to and purchased groceries for the four & had them marked in his own name and shipped for in Illinois— and they were attached by the Sheriff of , at the suit of the holders of the aforsaid joint note. is acquainted with , , and , and knows that they would have no scruples in perjuring themselves in any matter in which Joseph Smith, the plaintiff, was interested: or when directed to do so by said Smith. The is likewise acquainted with and , and believes that they would have no hesitancy in doing the same, yet he does not know it.
The above named persons are all Mormans and are high in office in the Councils of said Smith.
And further saith not.
