to Moses O. Banks pt L. 2. B. 14. ad
This Indenture, made and entered into this the 1st. day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four, between and Sarah [Stewart] his wife, of the county of and State of of the one part, and Moses O. Banks and Margaret his wife, of the county of and State of , of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said and Sarah his wife, for and in consideration of the Sum of thirty dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant bargain, sell, convey, and confirm unto the said Moses O. Banks and Margaret his wife, their heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the county of in the state of , viz: part of Lot No two, in Block fourteen, in s addition to , commencing three Rods East from the North West corner of said lot, running thence Five and a half Rods South, thence three Rods East, thence five & a half Rods North, thence three Rods West, to the place of beginning, together with the privilege of getting water from the spring on another part of said lot.
Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Moses O. Banks and Margaret his wife, their heirs and assigns forever. And the said and Sarah his wife, their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said Moses O. Banks and Margaret his wife, their heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
In testimony whereof, the said and Sarah his wife, of the first part, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

I a Justice of the peace, in & for the City of County & state aforesaid, do certify that & Sarah his wife, whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed, & who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, & who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses & purposes therein mentioned. And the said Sarah Stewart having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said deed, and examined seperate & apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, & relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, & without compulsion of her said .
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 1st. day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four.
