Admitted to New York bar, 1836. Moved to Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, fall 1836. Admitted to Illinois bar, 25 Nov. 1836. Served as state attorney for Illinois’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, beginning ca. 1838. Moved to Dixon, Lee Co., Illinois, by 1843. Served as legal counsel for JS, July 1843. Married Lucinda Smith, 23 Feb. 1846, in Lee Co. Moved to Amboy, Lee Co., by 1856. Died in Amboy.
