present Sheriff of said & the successor of said execute a deed of the same. And the said Court at this said Term of April AD 1841, having examined said writs, returns & all the proceedings of said late in levying on & selling said lands did make an order and cause the same to be entered on their Journal and thereby did ratify, approve, and confirm said sale, and did thereby order the said then & still Sheriff of said , and the successor in office of said , to execute & deliver to said purchaser a good deed of conveyance of said lands, all which will more fully appear by the records, files & Journal entries of said Court.
Now therefore Know Ye that I Sheriff of said , by virtue of the authority in me vested by law and the said judgment, proceedings and in particular said last mentioned order of said Court, and in consideration of the said sum of five hundred & fifteen dollars & eighty cents received by my said predecessor in office, do hereby, in my said capacity, grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said his heirs & assigns the several pieces & parcels of lan[d] above particularly described and so struck off and sold to him as aforesaid, and all the right title interest & claim of the said , , Joseph Smith jun & & each & every of them in and to said several peices & parcels of land and each & every of them & every part thereof as fully & absolutely as I the said Sheriff by virtue of said proceedings & order of Court can or ought to convey the same. To have and to hold the same to the said his heirs and assigns forever with all the appurtenances thereof. In Testimony whereof I the said Sheriff as aforesaid have hereunto in my said Capacity officially set my hand and seal this third day of June AD 1841.
