general course of unchristian like conduct it being proved that the had been notified to appear & answer for his conduct but he refused after waiting some time for him to apper arose & gave the following that decision that by the showing contempt to the authorites of the Church he ought to be cut of[f] from <​the church​> h[e] then called on the Councell to vote they unamimously voted to cut him of[f] from the church Voted to adjourn until Monday evenig next

Monday evening Nov 27th 1837
A conference of Elders constituting <​of​> all the authorities of the Church of Latter Day Saints; convened in the in for the purpose of electing & ordaining a president to preside over the quorum of Elders, in the place of Diseaced,
Pres. (who presided) then Nominated Elder R[e]uben Hadlock, Elder Hadlock was seconded, and elected by a unanymous voice of the conferance, then chose Elder & to assist him in ordaining Elder Hadlock to this office,
After prayer conf. adjourned,
