This Indenture made and entered into this sixth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty five between & Mary S[chenk] Ivins his wife of the County of and Territory of of the one part, and Joseph A. & John W. Young of the County of & State of of the other part, Witnesseth that the said & Mary S. Ivins his wife, for and in the consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Joseph A. & John W. Young their heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land, situate and being in the County of & State of , viz; Lot No (3) three in Block No (117) one hundred and seventeen as recorded on the plot of in said & State of .
Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the above described premises unto the said Joseph A. & John W. Young their heirs and assigns forever, And the said & Mary his wife their heirs and assigns, the aforesaid premises unto the said Joseph A. & John W. Young their heirs & assigns, against the claim or claims of all and every person whomsoever, do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof, the said and Mary S. Ivins of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.

I notary public for said , in said , do certify, that and Mary S. Ivins his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing deed, and who are personally known to me to be the persons described in, and who executed the same, did severally acknowledge that they had executed the said conveyance, for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Mary S. Ivins having been by me made acquainted with the contents of said deed, and examined separate and apart from her said , acknowledged that she had executed the same, and relinquished her dower to the premises therein conveyed, voluntarily, freely, and without compulsion of her said .
