Abram and gave unto him riches and honour and lands for an everlasting possession according to the covenent which he had made and according to the blessing wherewith Melchizedeck had blessed him.
Genesis, Chapter 15
And it came to pass that after these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision saying fear not Abram I will be thy sheild I will by thy exceeding great reward and according to the blessings of my servent I will give unto thee and Abram said Lord God what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless and Eleazer of D[a]mascus is made the Steward of my house and Abram said behold to me thou hast given no seed and lo! one born in mine house is mine heir. And behold the word of the Lord came unto him again saying this shall not be thine heir but that he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir and he brought him forth abroad and he said look now toward heaven and tell the stars if thou be able to number them and he said unto him so shall thy seed be and Abram said Lord God how wilt thou give me this land for an everlasting inheritence and the Lord said though thou was dead, yet am I not able to give it the<​e​> and if thou shal[t] die yet thou shalt possess it for the day cometh that the son of man shall live but how can he live if he be not dead he must first be quickened, and it came to pass that Abram saw looked forth and saw the days of the Son of man and was glad and his soul found rest and he beleived in the Lord, and the l his faith e the Lord counted it to him for righteousness. and the Lord said unto him I the Lord brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldeas to give thee this land to inherit it and Abram said Lord whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it, yet he beleived God and the Lord said unto him take me <​a​> heifer of three [p. 35]
