Monday Septr. 26th. 1842. Two oClock P. M.
Council met by special call,— Names of the Council were called,— was elected, to act, “President pro tem,” in the absence of the Mayor, and .— minutes of the two last meeting, and subsequent proceedings, were read, & approved.
A Bill was presented for an Ordinance < to> create the office of Notary Public for this , which recd the usual readings, & passed into an Ordinance, entitled, “An Ordinance creating the office of Notary Public in the City of .”—
A Bill was presented., which received the usual readings, and passed into an Ordinance, entitled, “An Ordinance respecting Mad Dogs & other Animals.”
A Bill was presented, which received the usual readings, and passed into an Ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance to regulate proceedings by & under Writs of in the Municipal Court.”
the City Recorder, was duly & unanimously elected, Notary public for this .

s claim of five Dollars, for making a City Seal, was allowed.
The was instructed to procure a Seal for the Municipal Court.
The claim of for summoning the City Council, and attending meetings of the Col., was referred to the Committee on claims.
The Account furnished by the City Watch was referred to the Committee on claims.
Adjourned until the next regular Meeting. [p. 41]
