This Indenture made and entered into this Twenty-Seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-two Between and his wife of the County of and State of of the one part and of the County of and aforesaid of the Other part Witnesseth that the Said and his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the Said his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the county of and State of Viz:— The North East corner of the South half of Lot Eighty one in Block No one in ’s Addition to containing by measurement One Acre together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to Hold the above described premises unto the said his heirs and assigns forever And the said and his wife their heirs and assigns the aforesaid premises unto the said his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person Whomsoever do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Testimony Whereof the said and his wife of the first part have hereunto Set their hands and Seals the day and year first above written

I, an acting Justice of the Peace in said do certify that and his wife whose signatures appear to the foregoing Deed and who are personally acknowledge that they had Executed the said Conveyance for the uses and purposes therein Mentioned And the said having been by me made acquainted with the contents of the said Deed and examined seperate and apart from her said acknowledged that She had executed the same and relinqushed her dower to the premises therein conveyed Voluntarily freely and without compulsion of her said .
