The council also ordained that all lands hereafter survey in the city, should be surveyed according to the city plat, & that all county <& state> roads in the city, which do not occupy the same ground as the streets be discontinued, and that the original surveys of the town of & commerce city be discontinued. A vote of thanks & freedom of the city was conferred on the Hon . U.S. Senator for .
<8> Monday 8. I attended the city council. The following appointments were made, viz. city Surveyor, , Weigher & Seeler, , Assesser, , Market Master, , <was sworn> Superviser of streets, & , , & was sworn High Constables. I gave my views on several local Measures proposed by the council.
