Who thou art, & from wence thou came? & he saith unto him <them,> I came out from the Land of Canaan, the land of my fathers, a land of righteousness unto this day; & my father taught me in all the ways of God. And it came to pass, as I Journied from the land of Canaan, by the Sea East, I beheld a vision; & lo, the Heavens, I saw. And the Lord spake unto <with> me, & gave me commandment; Wherefore, for this cause, to keep the commandment, I spake <speak> forth these words. </> & Enoch continued his speech, saying, The Lord which <16/> spake with me, the same is the God of Heaven, & he is my God, & your God, & ye are my Brethren; And why council ye yourselves, & deny the God of Heaven. The Heavens that he made; the Earth is his footstool, & the foundation there of is his. Behold, he laid it, & hosts of men hath he broughht in upon the face thereof. & death hath come upon our Fathers; nevertheless, we know them, & cannot deny, And even the first of all men we know, even Adam; for a Book of rememberance we have written among us, according to the pattern given by the finger of God; & it is given in our own language. </> And as Enoch spake forth the words of God, <17/> the people trembeled, & could not stand before <in> his presence. And he saith <said> unto them, because that Adam fell we are, & by his fall came death, & we are made partakers of misery & wo. </> Behold, satan hath come among the Children of <18/> men, And tempteth them to worship him And men have become carnal, sensual & Devlish, & are shut out from the presence of God. <but God> hath made known unto our Fathers, that all men must repent. </> And he called upon our <19/> father Adam, by his own voice; Saying, I am God; I made the world, & men before they were <in the flesh.> & he also said unto him If thou wilt turn unto me, & hearken unto my voice & believe, & repent of all thy transgressions, & be baptized, even by <in> water, in the name of mine only begotten Son, which <who> is full of grace & truth; which <who> is Jesus Christ; the only name which shall be given under Heaven, whereby salvation shall come unto the children of men, & ye shall <receive the gift of the holy Ghost> ask<ing> all things in his name, & whatsoever ye shall ask it shall be given <you>. </> And our father Adam said <spake> unto the <20/> Lord & said why is it that men must repent & be baptized [p. 17]
