Covenant. And the uncircumcised man child, whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant <​6/​> And God said unto Abraham, as for Sarai, thy wife, thou thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah thou shalt call her name. And I will bless her, & I will give thee a Son of her; yea, I will bless her, & she shall be blessed; thee the Mother of Nations; Kings & people shall be of her. Then abraham fell on his face And rejoiced, & said in his heart, there shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old. And Sarah that is Ninety <​years old​> shall <​7/​> bear <​7/​> And Abraham said unto God oh that Ishmael might might live uprightly before thee! And God said Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son, & thou shalt call his name Isaac; & I will establish my covenant with him also for an everlasting covenant with his seed after him, And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee; Behold, I have blessed him, & will make him fruitfull, & will multiply him exceedingly; twelve Princes shall he beget, & I will make him a great Nations. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear unto thee, at this set time in the next year; And he left off talking <​8/​> with him: <​8/​> And God went up from Abraham. <​8/​> And Abraham took Ishmael his son, & all that were born in his house, & all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abrahams house; & circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the self same day, as God had said unto <​9/​> him. <​9/​> And abraham was ninety & nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. And Ishm ael was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. In the self same day Abraham was circumcised, & Ishmael his son; & all the men of his house, which were born in his house, & bought with money of strangers, they were also circumsiced with him

And the Lord appeared unto Abraham, in the plain of Mamree; And he sat in his tent door in the heat of the [p. 44]
