<​4/​> And Sarai & sarai said unto Abram, my rong is upon thee; I have given my maid unto <​into​> thy bosom; & when she saw that she had conceived, I was dispised in her eyes: the <​5/​> Lord Judge between me & thee. <​5/​> but Abram said unto sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her as pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from <​6/​> her face. <​6/​> And an Angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water, in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur. And he Said, Hagar, Sarais maid, whence camest thou, And whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from <​7/​> the face of my mistress Sarai. <​7/​> And the Angel of the Lord said unto her, return to thy mistress, And submit thy self under her hands. And the Angel of the Lord said unto her, the Lord will multiply thy Seed exceedinngly, so that it shall not be numbered for multitude. And the Angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, & shalt bear a Son, & shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord has heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man; & his hand will be against evry man, And evry mans hand against him; And he shall dwell in the presence of <​8/​> all his brethren. <​8/​> And she called the name of the Angel of the Lord, And he spake unto her, saying, knowest thou that God sent <​seeth​> thee? & she said, I know that God seeth me for I have also here looked after him. And there was a well between Hadesh <​Kadesh​> & Bered, near where Hagar saw the Angel. And the name of the Angel was Beerlahairoi, wherefore the well was called Beerlahairoi for a memmorial, <​9/​> And Hagar bear Abram a Son: And Abram called his Sons name, which Hagar bear, Ishmael. And Abram was four <​Score​> & Six years old, when hagar bear Ishmael to Abram

<​1​> And when Abram was ninety & nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram, And said unto him, I, the almighty God, give unto you <​thee​> a commandment that thou shalt walk uprightly before me, And be perfect. And I will make my covenant <​2/​> between me & thee, & will multiply thee exceedingly. <​2/​> And it came to pass, that Abram fell on his face, & called upon the [p. 42]
