17— <​Franklin​> Thomas <​Franklin​> A— Worrill [Worrell]— recalled by I Saw that evening before the mob came in— heard say nothing about the Smith’s that evening <​day​>— Saw here that morning— knows of no Carthage Grey going out that day, <​nor of or​> <​any one being​> sent out—<​*​> <​* dont believe that any Carthage Grey was sent out— ​> I think I Saw here in about 8 O’Clock in the morning of the day the Smiths were killed— dont know whether he Staid in town the night before or not.
