1. W. The jurors were called— and all answered to their names—
then <opened the case on the part of the prosecution at 8 oclock a. m. and> read the <to the jury,> which is in the following words & figures, to wit; (here insert)— and then stated the nature of the prosecution, with and the proof he expected to produce on the part of the People in support of the cha[r]ge alleged in the Indictment, (Came here under the direction of the to assist the s attorney)
then at 1/4 past 8 o’clock opened and stated the case on the part of the Defendants on trial—
