The family went to bed about 4 o clock that night— the men went to bed about 2 o’clock we had to set up afterwards to clean up the things— Dont recollect any other families that went down on that boat— Doct. Chipleys went on another boat— Dont know whether ’s horses were sweating much or not— did not notice them— Cant say how long it was before day when I went to bed— I said it was about 4 o’clock— I got up about day light next morning— cant say whether suppose we had been to bed two hours— may be less and may be more— it was the 27th of June— did not sleep any that night— I dont know , , or except by sight— have had no conversation with them about it— dont know — know and by sight— am not acquainted personally with any one of the “Twelve”— I know them all apart when I see them, but am not acquainted with them personally— I know & by sight, but am not acquainted with either of them— Closed her examination 1/4 after 4 o’clock p. m.

I was traveling on the road between and the day the Smiths was <were> killed— Was at that morning— left about 9 o clock a. m. understood when we left there we were going to — I drove <Fullers> a baggage waggon— Fuller lived in — He is now dead— thinks this baggage waggon belong to [p. 60]
