<17> Thursday 17[th]. The breth[r]en arrived at . was very sick, & He stopped at with at , where thy staid [stayed] till the 22d. Broth[e]rs , , & went on their <Journey.>
<19 Saturday 19. The appointed for the of the in , met at s , & organiz[e]d. Prest. clerk, Jurney. & were appo chosen councellers to Prest , & approved by the counil.— Council organiz[ed] according to number.>
< organized at .> <20> Sunday 20 [th] The members of the High council elected at the october , met & organiz[e]d at s where was restor[e]d to fellowship: & voted X (H. C. 24) clerk.
<21> Monday 21st. met purs[ua]nt to adjoumnt [adjournment]. & voted that Joseph Smith Jn go as a delegate to ; and that if he went he should have a recmmnd [recommend], from the Council. Voted that be clerk, to attend wh for the land contracts when needed by Prest Smith: That Joseph Smith Jn be treasures [treasurer] of said ; & Sub Treasurer. Voted that , prize, exhibit, contract & sell town lots in , when needed , & present his doings to Prests. Joseph & for th[e]ir app[r]oval, & that $300 be the standard price of lots. (I E) none less than $200 nor more than $800. Voted that the High Council meet eve[r]y sunday eveni[n]g at, ; that have $30 per month for his services as ferryman, and that these proce[e]d and be publish[e]d in the Tines & Seasons.
<22> Tuesday 22. Brothr James Modesitte took & in his waggon 20 mi, from thence th[e]y went to Pleasnt Garden, & put up with Bro , Elder was prea[c]hing in that region with good success, he had 5.
<26> Satuday 26. , took & 20 mi on their way. <to s.> This day , who apostatiz[e]d to get clear, made his escape from Mo. Jail Mo:— the last of the brethrn in bonds had his trial and was set free some time p[r]evious,
