<21.> Satuday 21 I arriv[e]d in direct from , on <by> the rail road, <where I spent seve[r]al days preaching & visiting, from houe to house among the breth[re]n & othe[r]s.>

<about this time my and arrived at with my carriage <from —> where th[e]y had been some time, leaving ther[e] sick, & to take care of him.>
<25> Wednday 25. [Alexander] Wright & . left . for Scotland, & soon commen[ce]d & in Paisley & vicinity, went 6 miles north of Rome to see Bro Blakesley. <26> & retur[ne]d on the 27[th] to Watervill & on the 28 went to Hamilton.
<27> Friday 27[th]. Satuday 28 Heber John, son of & , Died at , Eng, aged 5 mo. 9 days He was <had> been sick 9 days with the small pox, & was buried in Elswick chapel Yard.
