This day to wit the fourteenth day of July in the year last aforesaid, came the Special Commissioner appointed in this cause and filed his report herein.
Which is in the words and figures following viz:—
The undersigned , a special Commissioner appointed by the Court herein at the December term hereof A. D.1850 to make sale of certain lands and town lots described in said decree and hereinafter described, respectfully reports as follows.
That in obedience to said decree and by virtue of his appointment as Commissioner as aforesaid he caused a notice to be published in the Popular Tribune, a newspaper of that name published in the City of , County of and State of , and also in the Quincy Whig a newspaper of that name published in the City of , County of and State of in which notices published in said newspapers it was stated that in pursuance of said decree, I would, as such commissioner, offer for sale at public auction to the highest bidder for cash at the front door of the public house, known as the in the City of , in the County of aforesaid on the 8th. day of April A. D. 1851, certain lands and town lots which were fully described in said notices and which are hereinafter described being the same lands described in said decree, copies of which notices, with the certificates of the respective publishers thereto annexed are herewith filed marked Exhibits A and B.
I further report that in pursuance of said advertisements, I did, on the said 8th. day of April A. D. 1851 attend at the front door of said in said City of ; and then and there offered for sale said lands and town lots, at which time and place the same were stricken off and sold to the following named purchasers for the following prices; said purchasers being the highest and best bidders therefor
