a Prophet Seer <​&​> Revelator unto my church for thou shalt shurly die a martor, thy Cup is bitter &c Shortly after this appointment of the mob gathered and took by Strategem Joseph & conveyed them to the Seat of Justice in & for the Co. of . <​​> as if to try them by the law of the land, but insted of trying them by the law of the land for their crimes they murdered them & thus the Lords annointed fell by the brutal hand of men. & they are gone the way of all the earth. & Strangs Reigns in the place of Smith the author and proprietor of the Book of Mormon.
As I have before stated that Joseph Smith had left Ohio with the of the Saints so called, to go to to redeem Zion and received a Revelation that that god would redem it in his own time &c.. On his way to or Zion he was frequently heard to say that he had a duty to perform and that was he had to appoint an other in his stead to Wit .
After the Camp was dispersed at Smith & came to together with many others who Scattered in & elsewhere Smith called a conference at the house of [’]s three miles West of . in which Confranc [conference] the most of the official member[s] belonging in Zion [were] present, Where Smith organized the [p. 94]
