<21> Friday 21. “ D( Feb 21, 1840. O (<L. 100, 101, 102, 103.) ”—>
<22> Saturday 22. wrote me from. “, Feb 22, 1840. <(<L> 111, 112, 113, 114) .”>
<23> Sunday 23, had so far recovered as to be able to attend preaching by at Columbia Hall. The High council of , voted that the notes given into the hands of , by certain individuals, as consecrations for building the , in , be returned to the same by him.
<25> Tuesday 25th. Elders & went to Hunsted Hempsted, on , & preached at Rockaway and the neighborhood till the 4th. of March & baptized 9.
<26> Wednesday 26. wrote as follows, “ February 26, 1840 X ( D (L,103) ”
When I had returned as far as , < Ohio> or near that I found the horses which we left on our journey out, & from thence <I> pursued my journey through Indiana, on horseback, <in co. with , leaving at > the travelling being exceeding bad. My progress was slow & wearisome. but by the blessing of heaven I succeeded in in arriving safely at my residence in Nauvoo <on or> about the fourth <4th.> of march.
My Clerk died while I was absent. [p. 4]
